Are You Having Fun Yet? Creating a Corporate Culture

Southwest Airlines is the only airline that has been in the black for the past 30 years. Their secret? They go the “extra smile” with a corporate culture that is based on the notion that “people rarely succeed at anything unless they have fun doing it.”  Learn how fun and profits go hand-in-hand at a company that combines creativity with old-fashioned common sense, and attributes Southwest’s continuing success to the “spirited, caring, compassionate, unified, proud, and customer-focused dedication of its people.”

In this session:

·         Learn how Southwest has applied its “Ten Commandments for Unique People Relations” to become one of the top companies to work for in America.

·         See how Southwest’s creative communications help stimulate Positively Outrageous Service.

·         Discover how the power of MBFA (Management By Fooling Around) leads to increased productivity.

Radical Change, Radical Results: Moving from Sludge to Genius in Leadership

Poor communication, dishonesty, and fear characterize business as usual and create the toxic by-product of corporate sludge.  Anything that slows us down is sludge, from rigid attitudes to overly complex procedures. Our two default modes of operation - protectiveness and pleasing people - stir up interpersonal muck that slows progress to a crawl.

Radical Change is an inside job.  It requires that you bring your whole self to work to clear out the sludge. Dr. Eddie Erlandson will address the key actions and tools suitable for immediate application and dramatic results. Meeting change, identifying our change personas, shifting out of long-held habits and into energizing leadership is attainable and sustainable.

Eddie, a physician and vascular surgeon, uniquely probes the biology of leadership with the focus of a scientist and the vision of unlimited leadership potential.
